Women's services doctors include gynecologists, obstetricians, gynecologic oncologists, urologists and reproductive endocrinologists. Doctors work closely with surgeons, nurse practitioners and other health care professionals to deliver care that addresses a range of OB-GYN health concerns.
Gynecological Surgery Center of Excellence
Turkey Creek Medical Center has been designated as an American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (AIMIS) Gynecological Surgery Center of Excellence. The mission of AIMIS is to develop and designate centers of excellence that safely benefit patients while reducing healthcare costs.
This accomplishment was achieved after passing a series of rigorous criteria established by the accrediting body AIMIS. The Gynecological Center of Excellence designation is important to the Knoxville community, because it gives patients added assurance that Turkey Creek Medical Center has not only passed and exceeded existing norms for minimally invasive surgery quality and delivery, but also has physicians on staff who have achieved the AIMIS designation as an accredited AIMIS physician as well.
