5/6/2026
Turkey Creek Medical Center earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
“Patient safety is always on the forefront of everything we do and our highest priority at Turkey Creek Medical Center,” said Tony Benton, CEO of Tennova Healthcare System. “Achieving multiple consecutive ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grades is a testament to both the diligence and compassion our team shows as we work together to provide quality care in a safe, supportive environment.”
“An ‘A’ Grade is a strong sign that Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center is deeply committed to protecting patients from harm,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We commend the leadership, Board, clinicians, staff and volunteers for the role each played in earning this distinction.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, injuries and infections that can lead to harm or even death. The grading system is peer -reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
