Tennova Healthcare-Turkey Creek Medical Center Opens Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Seminars Back Up

Knoxville, TN (July 22, 2022) – Tennova Healthcare - Turkey Creek Medical Center has re-opened the free, in-person, bariatric weight loss surgery seminars to the public with the first one on July 27, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at 10820 Parkside Drive. Patients seeking effective and long-lasting treatment for weight-loss can get detailed information and questions answered at this seminar.
Obesity contributes to the risk of developing serious medical conditions and bariatric surgical procedures have been shown to reduce obesity, improve lives and decrease health risks from chronic diseases. The team is made up of three specialists, Mariah Beasley, M.D., Stephen Boyce, M.D., and Megan Lodeiro, M.D. To expand patient access, Dr. Beasley and Dr. Lodeiro are now seeing patients at Tennova North Knoxville and will be opening clinic in Sweetwater in early August.

- Have a body-mass index (BMI) of 40 or higher, or

- are between the ages of 18-70, psychologically healthy and committed to making lifestyle changes
