Tennova Healthcare Knoxville Area Hospitals Recognized by the Tennessee Hospital Association for Zero Harm Award

Turkey Creek Medical Center and North Knoxville Medical Center have been recognized by the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) with a Zero Harm Award for achieving zero healthcare-associated infections in one or more categories throughout calendar year 2025.

The Zero Harm Awards recognize Tennessee hospitals and clinical departments that demonstrate exceptional commitment to patient safety by preventing healthcare-associated infections. Awards are presented in four categories: Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI), Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI), Clostridium difficile Infections (CDI), and Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) over the past calendar year.

Turkey Creek Medical Center achieved Zero Harm in categories CDI, CLABSI, CAUTI, and MRSA. North Knoxville Medical achieved Zero Harm in categories CLABSI, CAUTI, and MRSA. The THA Zero Harm Awards honor hospitals that foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement while delivering high-quality care to the patients and communities they serve. This year, 100 hospitals earned the award, and 16 achieved the highest recognition for reporting zero hospital-wide infections in 2025.

The THA Zero Harm Awards are presented annually by THA’s Tennessee Center for Patient Safety to honor hospitals that go extended periods without healthcare-associated infections.
