Experienced bariatric surgeon specializes in advanced weight loss procedures

Boyce, M.D., bariatric surgeon, to his new medical practice at Tennova Bariatric Surgery on the campus of Turkey Creek Medical Center. Due to his extensive training and experience, Dr. Boyce is qualified to offer a range of proven weight loss techniques, including vertical sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch. Over his 25-year medical career, he has performed thousands of weight loss surgery procedures and is one of the most experienced bariatric surgeons in the region. Prior to joining Tennova Medical Group, Dr. Boyce was affiliated with New Life Center for Bariatric Surgery in West Knoxville.
Dr. Boyce has served as medical director of the Tennova Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Turkey Creek Medical Center since 2012. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He also completed an internship and surgical residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School’s Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was introduced to weight loss surgery under the tutelage of one of the field’s pioneering fathers, Dr. Otto Willbanks. Dr. Boyce is board certified in surgery.
