Family medicine physicians will see new and existing patients at office in northwest Knox County
KNOXVILLE, TN (May 19, 2020) – Tennova Healthcare recently welcomed family medicine physicians Rachel Bowman, M.D., and Kareez Leonard-Bowden, M.D., to their new office at Tennova Primary Care – Karns, located at 7210 Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville. Most recently, Dr. Bowman and Dr. Leonard-Bowden saw patients at Tennova Primary Care – Farragut on the campus of Turkey Creek Medical Center. They specialize in caring for adults and children ages 2 and older. They offer routine annual exams and health screenings for men and women, well-child and teen care, sick visits and immunizations. Dr. Bowman and Dr. Kaneez Leonard-Bowden are also dedicated to the management of chronic conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease and hypothyroidism.
Dr. Bowman earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. She completed an internship and residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC. She is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Leonard-Bowden earned her medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius, Netherland Antilles. She also completed an internship and residency at Louisiana State University Health Services Center in Shreveport, LA. She is board certified in family medicine.
Tennova Primary Care - Karns is conveniently located in a shopping plaza near the corner of Oak Ridge Highway and Harrell Road (near Grace Christian Academy). The spacious new office features plenty of front door parking and an onsite lab.
