Interventional cardiologist specializes in complex coronary and peripheral arterial interventions

Dr. Barry specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease and peripheral artery disease. He is committed to providing expert care to a diverse population and is fluent in Spanish. Same-week appointments are available. Dr. Barry also offers telehealth visits.
He is experienced in interventional cardiac procedures, which involve the catheter-based treatment of heart disease. Dr. Barry exclusively performs the minimally invasive procedures at Turkey Creek Medical Center and North Knoxville Medical Center.
Dr. Barry earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN; He completed an internship and residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. Dr. Barry also completed dual fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY. Dr. Barry is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology.
